Hamburg Cruise Center empfängt 100.000sten Kreuzfahrtpassagier

Hamburg – on 5 September the 100,000 cruise passenger of the 2009 season was welcomed to the Port of Hamburg. The winner received a hotel voucher from the 4 star Mövenpick Hotel, Hamburg.

Last Saturday the 100,000th cruise passenger was formally welcomed at the Hamburg Cruise Center by Gerd Drossel, the Hamburg Cruise Center Managing Director.

Christina Juergens, 22 years old, was surprised, just before setting foot on the gangway, by a rain of balloons. “What a nice surprise, you really do not expect something like this” was the comment of Christina. The lucky winner was presented with a hotel voucher from Hamburg’s Mövenpick Hotel. The hotel manager in person, Annette Hammer, availed herself of the opportunity of congratulating the winner and handed over a voucher for two nights of overnight accommodation in the Turm suite, including breakfast, a 4-course dinner with quality wines and use of the fitness and sauna facilities. To complete the pleasure of the winner’s visit to Hamburg, the Hamburg Tourism Board donated two Hamburg CARDs – a ticket offering free travel on public transport as well as many discounts for museums and guided tours of the city and port.

On the day of her departure from Hamburg on the “AIDAluna”, Christina Juergens and her partner, both from Recklinghausen have already had a small foretaste of the city, and look forward to visiting it again. For the moment they are both proceeding on board the AIDA vessel in the direction of Teneriffe.
