Hanse-Viertel
Boulevard covered by glass Elegant Shopping at the “Hanseatic quarter” (“Hanse-Viertel”)
Located in the middle of the “City West”, near the town hall and the Binnen-Alster, is Hamburg’s “Hanseatic quarter” (“Hanse-Viertel”). Since 1980 it belongs to the city just like the fish market, the Reeperbahn and the river Elbe. At 9000 square metres, 60 shops are waiting to be discovered. In no other shopping arcade it is possible to choose as relaxed and stress free between exclusive boutiques and unique shops like in Hamburg’s most beautiful “Boulevard covered by glass.
Innovative Store Concepts
Spread over the architecturally sophisticated shopping area and the outside of the traditional complex, shops like Kirchhoff, Sansibar or Wau & Mau can be found among others. The smallest shop of the arcade, Duske & Duske, offers cigarettes and cigarillos as well as champagne and high-quality magazines in a unique selection. At Tott & Co, visitors find exclusive men’s shoes for special occasions. Sporty it is at Timberland. The Outfitter has, for example, shoes in his assortment which were made of very environmentally friendly material. The top priority of “Mutterland” is creativity: Everyone finds a matching souvenir at the culinary delights and creative gifts.
Exceptional treasures and creative business concepts
Unique on the culinary field is also the lobster stand, which is famous beyond the cities limits. Situated at the middle of the shopping area’s piazza, it makes a contribution to the fact that all of Hamburg meets there and brings the flair of the city into the business district. Visitors will find friendly staff and service as well as everything their heart desires to spend a wonderful time beyond the hectic outside world.
The direct connection of the metro (U-Bahn) and the city railway (S-Bahn) as well as 400 parking spaces allow a comfortable arrival. We look forward to you from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 20:00 clock!
