Terminal 1 went into operations in 2014, 2 years later the terminal 2. Like the container facade, the interior is also of modular construction, with flexible divider walls facilitating individual adjustment of space to the differing requirement parameters of each vessel being handled.

Services for passengers and a fluent ship operation are the main priorities at all cruise terminals and berths. To ease the luggage handling from/to the passenger’s home door to/from the cruise terminals, there are special logistic services. One of these service providers is the TEfra Travel Logistsics GmbH.

From the city of Hamburg: Direction Hamburg centre/main station/Speicherstadt – past Deichtorhallen – Oberbaumbrücke – turn left to Shanghaiallee – follow the traffic – 2nd traffic light to the right via Baakenbrücke – turn left as soon as possible to Hamburg Cruise Center.
Via Landungsbrücken: Vorsetzen – turn right (Baumwall tube station) – follow the street "Am Sandtorkai" – follow the course of the street – 2nd traffic light on the right via Baakenbrücke - turn left as soon as possible to Hamburg Cruise Center.
Coming from A1/A255, drive into the direction Hamburg Zentrum, after exit Veddel take the next exit on the Elb Bridges into the direction HafenCity – pass through “Zweibrückenstraße” – follow the course of the road – pass through train underpass – at the traffic light turn left and drive on Überseeallee – drive across Magdeburger Bridge – at the next turn, turn left to Hamburg Cruise Center HafenCity
Coming from A7: Take exit Hamburg-Waltershof – Direction “Freihafen” – drive over the Köhlbrand Bridge – follow the course of the road – direction “Zentrum/Speicherstadt” – turn left on the traffic light into the circumnavigation “Versmannstraße” – cross Baakenhafen Bridge – at the traffic light, turn left into “Überseeallee” – drive across Madgeburger Bridge – at the next turn, turn left to Hamburg Cruise Center HafenCity

Following a proposal made by the Commission in December 2008 the Council and the European Parliament adopted on 24 November 2010 Regulation 1177/2010 concerning rights of passengers when travelling by sea and inland waterway. The Regulation was published on 17 December 2010 in the Official Journal of the EU and its provisions will apply as from 18 December 2012.
A very important service to our customer is the passenger handling at the Hamburg Cruise Center. It includes the "Ship Welcome" with live music acts. Furthermore we are providing an Infocounter where passengers get every requested answer they asked for. Skilled staff gives tips, suggestions and special references for a never forgotten and successful stay in Hamburg. We have several informational and interesting brochures, for example a City Map printed and designed by the Hamburg Cruise Center Association.
